The aim of this event is to engage in a transatlantic dialogue on contemporary cyber espionage and surveillance activities and to discuss options to better protect privacy and personal data in the digital age. The conference will analyse relevant practices and policies on both sides of the Atlantic, compare and contrast constitutional and other pertinent domestic legal frameworks and discuss the public international law implications of these activities with a specific focus on the application of human rights law in cyberspace.
